NGC specially configures high-performing MBY, MBYX gearboxes as the primary side drive gearbox for tube mills and the auxiliary drive device is connected to the other side. The small gear on the girth gear of the tube mill is connected through a dual connection coupler to adjust the small gear.

Because of their large power capacity needed for center drive gearboxes MFY and MFYT, NGC’s power shutting systems are effective in this application. The auxiliary drive device is installed at the rear side of the main motor or arranged between the main motor and the main gearbox.

Different from MFY/MFYT centrer drive gearboxes, NGC’s planetary gearboxes for tube mills, ZX and FZX, adopt a planetary drive structure. The compact design and the larger power capacity compared to the center drives make the ZX and FZX gearboxes very effective in special applications.

Innovatively designed, NGC’s MSBY girth gearboxes can drive the tube mill through the girth gears. The main motor is connected to one side of the input shaft of the gearbox, whereas the auxiliary drive device is connected to the other side. The gearbox forms a unit with the girth gear, and is directly meshed and driven through the girth gear. Thus, this gearbox solution requires less parts, which in turn means that it requires less space, so that installation and operation costs are reduced.

NGC’s vertical mill gearboxes of the MLX, MLXD, MLXSS Series are designed to withstand high torque and extreme conditions. These rugged gearboxes are essential to transmit power, reduce the rotating speeds, and supporting the mill’s millstone. They require high power rating and an extremly high availablility. Higher axial and partical radial forces during the grinding process are transmitted to the mill foundation through thrust bearing and its housing.

Roller press gearboxes of the MPG Series rotate in two opposite directions, so that small, dry particles are crushed into powder or uniform shapes. Extremely high pressure needs to be generated. Customers therefore should decide on a very powerful and reliable gearbox. NGC roller press gearboxes are running very stable. Housing and planetary carriers are optimally designed by FEM. Deformations during the operation processes are very low. Additionally, those gearboxes are facing a compact design, so that less installation space is needed. They fit in almost any space.
